    Students promoting inclusion and conflict resolution


    A core group of 23 students has become agents for inclusion and conflict resolution at the Xhemail Mustafa Primary School in Pristina, following the schools participation at the 2015 Kosovo academy.

    Trained their class mates after Utøya


    After participating at a training course on Utøya, students from Frydenberg Secondary School used what they had learned to train their fellow students. Through inter-active exercises they facilitated discussions in the classroom about democratic values, human rights and inclusion.

Call for participants: "Dealing with Controversy through Education"

The European Wergeland Centre together with the Education Development Centre (Lithuania), the National Centre for Education (Latvia) and the Finnish National Agency for Education (Finland) invites representatives of institutions, active in formal and non-formal education, from Nordic and Baltic States to submit applications to take part in the Training for Trainers course “Dealing with controversy through education: a regional approach”.

Kurssamling på Utøya for fremtidige lærere, 5-7. november 2018

Etter 22. juli 2011 er Utøya et viktig symbol på at demokratiet må skapes og forsvares hver dag. Anti- demokratiske krefter i Norge og resten av Europa rekrutterer i stadig større grad unge mennesker. I et langsiktig perspektiv er det beste forsvaret mot disse kreftene å styrke unge menneskers demokratiske kunnskaper, holdninger og verdier.
